Satya Tummala is a seasoned engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in the domains of Unified Communications, Public Safety Video Systems, Messaging and Presence Solutions, Converged Core, VoIP, Multimedia Transport, Mobile Devices (Android and Windows CE), Wireless Protocols, IMS, Seamless Mobility, Video/Image Compression, Speech Codecs, Speech and Image Analytics and Digital Signal Processing.

Before starting Nouveau Labs, he was the Site Leader and Head of Engineering at ShoreTel Communications Pvt Ltd, the Indian arm of ShoreTel Inc, which he built from scratch and took it to a size of close to 250 people in a short span of 2 years.The team enabled ShoreTel to successfully release ShoreTel’s first Unified Hybrid Cloud platform called “Connect”. Earlier to ShoreTel, he was at Aricent for a brief period as Asst. Vice President – Engineering responsible for Motorola projects.

Satya spent close to 20 years at Motorola as Head of Multimedia Software Technology Group that developed a variety of technologies including Public Safety Video Solutions, Messaging and Presence Systems, VoIP, IMS, Dual-mode phones, Multimedia Communication systems, Signal Processing including Audio and Video codecs.

Satya specializes in bringing up high quality teams that excel in Engineering and operate high up in the value chain. He loves nurturing technology leaders and motivates them to give their best. His teams built large-scale high quality communication systems with capabilities like high availability, high density and high performance.Satya has a Management degree from IIM Bangalore and Masters in Engineering from IIT Delhi.
